Questions lecturers actually ask before they put simulators or a hybrid station in an ITE or polytechnic CNC lab.

Is CNC simulation software a substitute for a real mill in an ITE or polytechnic lab?

No. JCZ Lab sells simulators and the Hybrid CNC Training Station so more students get program and panel time. The teaching mill stays in the lab for the cut, the workholding, and the crash you cannot afford on a PC.

Treat software as extra seats, not as a plan to empty the workshop.

Can students practice G-code without a CNC machine?

Yes. CNC Milling Simulator Pro and CNC Lathe Simulator Pro run on 64-bit Windows PCs. Students edit G-code, step the program, and watch the toolpath without occupying the mill or lathe.

That is how you use the waiting time when one machine has three to six students standing behind it. They still need the real machine for chips, offsets on the actual control, and the last proving run.

What is the difference between the Hybrid CNC Training Station and simulator-only software?

Simulator-only (Milling Simulator Pro or Lathe Simulator Pro) is a keyboard and mouse on a Windows PC. It is the cheap way to give every student a G-code seat.

The Hybrid CNC Training Station adds an industrial operator panel and an MPG handwheel with live 3-axis milling simulation. Use it when the bottleneck is panel time, not only typing. It still does not replace the real mill.

Does the Hybrid Training Station replace the real machines?

No. JCZ Lab positions the station in front of the real machines. Students learn cycle start, jogging, and watching a toolpath on a station that will not throw chips or wreck a vice. The mill remains the place they machine a part.

What languages are available — English and Chinese?

This public website is English. The Hybrid CNC Training Station is sold with English and Chinese interfaces for classroom use.

Ask JCZ Lab which language pack you will get on a given simulator licence if your lecturers teach in Chinese. Do not assume a hobbyist store listing is the lab build.

Is this for hobbyists or for teaching labs?

Teaching labs. Polytechnic, ITE, university, and manufacturing training teams. JCZ Lab does not position these products as home-CNC entertainment.

Do the simulators run on Windows only?

JCZ Lab supports Windows classroom installs. The milling trial on /download is for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. Plan the computer room around Windows PCs, not a mixed phone-and-Mac lab image.

How do the three JCZ Lab CNC products fit together?

CNC Milling Simulator Pro: PC seats for 3-axis G-code. CNC Lathe Simulator Pro: PC seats for turning G-code. Hybrid CNC Training Station: milling panel and MPG in the room with the real mill.

A complete mill lab often uses PC simulators plus hybrid stations plus the mill. A turning lab uses Lathe Simulator Pro plus the teaching lathe. Fanuc 0i-MF Plus software is the extra PC package when the mill control is that Fanuc generation.

From JCZ Lab at https://www.jczlab.com.sg/download. The current public build is v1.1.0 RC1 (24 Aug 2026), a 3-day Windows trial. For lathe software or hybrid stations, request a demo rather than expecting the same installer.
